I have 15 “Quality Student Houses” providing accommodation (houses and individual rooms) to rent for University Students in term time and summer in the Southsea area of Portsmouth. All houses are within walking distance to the university. If you have a larger group and would like to stay close to each other I do have houses in the same street (some even next to each other!).

All houses are energy efficient with cavity wall insulation and full loft insulation and have energy rating of “C” (Average UK rating is “E”). These energy efficient houses will save you money in bills!

I only look after the properties I own and do not manage other landlords properties,
I provide good quality student accommodation. I have 20 years experience in letting
property to University students in Portsmouth. I also went to Portsmouth University
(many years ago!) graduating with a Business Degree, I am also a qualified Chartered
Management Accountant and have a happy family with two young children. I am a member
of the National Landlords Association.
- All houses are well decorated and fully furnished.
- The 50mb wireless Internet provided is the fastest option available (with 4 or 5
students sharing you need a good service!) Having the service provided means when
you move in you can connect immediately - no waiting weeks for installation and avoid
the hassle.
- Drying clothes can be a problem in winter - no need to resort to drying on radiators
with resulting condensation problems. There is a modern washer/dryer (6 months old)
and a separate spin dryer (a spin dryer is very economical).
- Each house has a fully furnished lounge with TV with Freeview box.
- If you want to watch TV in your room a TV point is provided in all bedrooms.
- The houses are for 4 or 5 persons depending on the house. Other landlords offer houses
with more persons but be aware that houses with more occupants can feel overcrowded.
Most bedrooms are of a double size with double bed but some houses will have a single
room.
- The hallways and lounges are laminate flooring for easy cleaning and for good hygiene
- The houses are all energy efficient with full loft insulation, cavity wall insulation
and items such as room thermostat which will save you money on your bills.
- All houses have gas central heating - much more economical than electric.
- I do not charge registration fees, administration fees, inventory fees or make any
other charges when renting student accommodation
- Bills are not included in the rent. Any landlord including bills in the rent will
have to take a premium to ensure he does not loose out if tenants leave heating on
all the time etc. It is more environmentally friendly for tenants to have an inventive
to use power efficiently.
- If something goes wrong with the house as a full time landlord I can respond straight
away. I have a bigger incentive to provide a quality service than agency's who just
manage other peoples houses. I plan on owning the properties for many more years
which is a big incentive to manage them well.
- I have had each of the properties I own for at least 10 years. Having had the properties
for a long time I am in no danger of going bust and having the houses repossessed
in any financial crisis. I will still be here when you move in and can afford any
repairs etc... Before signing contract you also get proof of my ownership with copy
of the Land Registry document.
